Cat Repellent Recipes DIY

Cats, like my cat Buffy in the picture are cute while they are indoors, but they can ruin your furniture or dig up your garden or potted plants, and then they don’t seem so cute. Here are a few homemade cat repellent recipes you can make yourself.

For outside beds, if you really want to pull out the big guns, try:
2 TB cayenne pepper
4 TB All-purpose flour
3 TB Chinese mustard powder
2 QT water – warm
Mix and let sit at least 1 hour. S

Cats do not like herbs such as Rue. Plant Rue around the edge of your garden or grow some Rue then hang up to dry and use as sachel or crush leaves around the area you want them to avoid.

Cats do not like vinegar. put vinegar in a spray bottle with some water and spray on areas you want the cat to avoid. This also goes for lemon. Before spraying water with vinegar or lemon be sure to test your furniture to make sure it doesn’t discolor.
