Doesn't Work

| We have two 7 month old Yorkies that bark insanely when company comes over. This "Ultrasonic Dog Repeller" did NOTHING to stop that. Over half the time you press the button on this device, the red light does not light up (I am assuming this red light is supposed to light up when this device is working). It is also made of very cheap plastic. Save your money. |
Not Very Useful

I have a German Shephard, and Sadie firmly believes that our apartment must be protected from prowlers. Of course, she thinks that the Mail delivery person is also a prowler. I am seventy years old so she also believes she must lunge at people she suspects might harm me. I may safely walk up to a person; but they better not walk up to us and get close enough for Sadie to bite.
This device does not stop her from barking, nor does it restrain her from protecting me. However, it does act as a firm "NO" when she is pestering me as she has a tendency to do while I am eating.
As far as a strange dog attacking anyone: this is rare. Most dogs on the loose will run away rather than fight a human - unless they are starving, with a pack of other dogs, and see a vulnerable child. Whenever I have see stray dogs they always want to make friends with my Sadie. Many dogs, however, will protect property they believe belongs to them or their owners. In this case, the owner should at least post "Beware of Dog" signs where they can be seen to warn trespassers.
In any event DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS ELECTRONIC SOUND DEVICE TO PROTECT YOU FROM OTHER DOGS OR TO STOP A DETERMINED WATCHDOG FROM BARKING! |

| I use this when I walk my dogs as we have many loose dogs that roam the area. I wanted somthing that wasn't too big but would keep the strays from coming near my 4 dogs. Doesn't hurt the animals and I found it too work. |
