Not worth the money!

| I own 6 of the P3 mole chasers that are D cell driven, they work perfect. But battries run out between 4 and 5 months, then D cells are not cheap so I was looking for the same quality at the P3 and bought 10 of these to replace the P3 and battries. They are garbage and only have a small sounders in the units which might scare off a Vole/Mole if it was right under it. Save your money |
too early

| Too early to know if effective in running moles off. Used a similar product several years ago and it worked |
Works but with limited life due to rusting

| I battled the gophers for over a year with all the products available...poisons, underground gassing, etc. and couldn't get rid of them. The neighbor has gophers and doesn't bother to do anything about them, so more just keep coming over and taking over the tunnels. It makes a mess out of the lawn. I installed this device, and it vibrates every few minutes, running on solar power and rechargable batteries. No maintenance required. The gophers dissappeared after a few weeks and the lawn grew back in, despite the fact that they are still next door. This item is a replacement for an almost identicle item I bought a few years ago that quit working due to water instrusion and rust. That is the one downside. You might need to replace it in a few years due to water instrusion. |
STI Solar mole & gopher chasers really do work, but...

| These devices work and may operate for two or more years without battery replacement, but they work best when three or more units are placed in proximity to each other to drive the critters away from the area. |
Solar Mole & Gopher Chaser - High Failure Rate
|

We purchased five of these units and sadly report that three of these units have already failed after a month of use.
They have a solar cell on top which powers a burst of 400 Hz sound every 30 seconds. They use no batteries. A great idea but I just wish they were reliable.
They only come with a 6 month guarantee - that's the first RED FLAG.. Only one season of use and they write off their responsibility.. Also the instructions state that the unit is not water resistant and it's not sturdy enough to withstand freezing temperatures!! - ("Remove the unit from the soil if the ground freezes or when flooding occurs)" |
